![]() It's provides window of opportunity in a seemingly lost situation and fun at that too! Out-maneuvering, doing something your opponent do not expect. Stuck in a room with only a jumppad towards your enemy? Jumppad-strafe 180 degree away. Similarly it's fun doing bunny hopping or wall bounces when they give you no real advantage. Removing it takes the fun away, so no doubt people complain. It's an exploit that would only be appropriate to leave in if it was accessible to everyone. I dunno what you read but it's being removed. See the dev note below for more context."Īnd the dev note goes on to say how they've made changes to prevent sharp 90s to remove tap strafing This previously enabled an exaggerated movement tech known as "Tap Strafing. "(PC only) You’ll no longer be able to bind forward movement to the Mouse wheel on PC. Go play Destiny 2 Crucible where the aim assist is so high I can get 10-15 kills per match by hip firing Ace of Spades or Dead Man's Tale.Originally posted by TTV OrxsN:i agree, tap strafing has way to high of a use at even low ranks (granted nothing crazy) but that little dodge in a 1v1 that you were winning then suddenly lose your tracking and centering because wraith decides to jump right then TS left followed by 3 evo shots to ruin your day, is not fun, regardless of the skill level, also it was found 2 seasons ago, not exactly a ground base mechanic from the early days You do realize its not going away right? Just read the patch notes And from all the videos I see on here and you tube, and the tournament I watched, armor swapping wins far more engagements than the paltry aim assist. Part of the reason I do NOT try to loot boxes in fights for armor swaps is it pretty much guarantees I get knocked, while the M&K players get to pull that crap, make me miss, then be full. The ability to slide back and for while trying to swap things is a HUGE advantage over console or PC Controller players, as it makes you a non-moving target. They might as well just let her jump distance be 2x as a passive ("anti-gravity jump boots" or some such if everyone is allowed to have her level of air control as long as they play PC).īut I disagree on the moving while looting thing. Should we bring tap strafing into consoles instead of taking away tap strafing from PC? Why or why particular as that essentially renders Horizon's passive moot. Instead of bring PC down to be even with console Devs should bring consoles up to be even with PC mechanic wise. PC is arguably the best to play on for controller and mnk players, because of the great mechanics that could only be done on PC. Consoles would have a great time atleast keeping up with PC. If it’s accessible for everyone then there would be no complaints about PC having the upper hand over consoles. Of course others will know how to tap strafe which makes battles more flexible because you are able to use it aggressively or passively. People who are competitive at the game should be able to play competitively! Otherwise it’ll be a stiff battle where you cannot do any movement to throw people off especially during 3v1s or team fights. Here’s why, it’s keeps the fights competitive and entertaining. I would say tap strafing should still be in the game but should be added to consoles too. ![]() If you play controller on console such as PS4, PS5, XBOX, etc. Tap strafing is possible on Controller, but here’s the catch ONLY on PC. I think tap strafing is such a unique movement mechanic that keeps a fight entertained.
